The Experiment with Light process is similar to a Meeting for Worship: ministry is spoken into a settled and gathered stillness, the difference being that one person speaks throughout and the ministries are short readings from a programmed script derived from the words of the early Quakers. The short readings are interspersed with several minutes of silence and a longer concluding silence.
The afterword is an optional sharing from the experience into the stillness.
For this session on the 14th we will be using a a shortened version similar to the original language of George Fox and other early Quakers, but with less ‘sin’ and ‘God’. Visitors are welcome. It would be preferred if you had some prior experience of meditation or mindfulness if you do not already attend Quaker Meeting.
